Here are my 3 sounds-
Guitar Hero Acoustic Click
Backwards Burp
SpritzeSpray Bottle
They are uploaded as a .zip file to the tripod website below. Tripod.com is a good 20mb limit free uploadable storage site for small amounts of data.
Right-Click and Save Target as on this link to download. If you left click, it will not work, the file is remotely linked.

Thanks,

Sorry, one more thing, (i dont know how to delete my comments and/or modify ones so this is why this is why this other comment is here) …. if you download that link, it will download as a .hmtl file or unnamed extension file. Just add “.zip” on the end and you’re ready to go.
Noah
my three sounds can be found here:

Yo, here’s my 3. You’ve got the Speak ‘n’ Spell “Angel” & dirty rhythm loop, and a nicely detailed whir & clack. Link:

Sorry to ask this, but just to be sure. Next week (2-11-08) due is —
1. any addition or adjustments to our 3min piece
2. a sketch/graph/narration of a “new piece” with 3-5 sounds we get from other people.
We only have to do those two things, not the actual protools compilation of the “new piece”. The “new piece” will be due the follow week (2-18-08), correct?
Thanks,
Noah
Hello everyone,
I’m having some trouble understanding how to post my sounds. It looks like most of us are using web links, I’m guessing that’s because you can’t post mp3’s or aiff’s on the blog so… what should I do? how do I make a website with the audio files?
Thanks,
Kyle
here are my 3…

be kind to them
hey all,
alright, first off… kyle, I’m not too informed about your ’school’ account, but I have heard that you have a way to simply upload things through your rpi account. if not, then just email them to me and I’ll upload them.
alternatively, look at Noah’s comment above…
next, sorry, I’ve been away… I’ll post clarification on the assignment tonite, and Noah… yes… you got it.
see you soon. todd
I’m having trouble accessing Noah’s and strosm’s samples, is anyone else experiencing the same difficulty? I get extraction errors for the former, and Tripod telling me that I’m not allowed to download the files for the latter. Anyone having similar issues?
Whoo, have some samples.

I can’t download Noah’s files either….
Regarding Noah’s sounds…
by reading his posts above, I was entirely successful at downloading.
first follow the instructions below, and the change the extension from .html to .zip..
then the files will unpack into a folder and you’re good to go… post if you need more help. todd

If you’re REALLY having significant problems uploading your files, then try Box.net. It’s a free service, and it works.
Todd
check out my web space for some sound samples, if you need help let me know thanks.
I’ve been able to download and get the files to appear as a zip, within which I see the correct file names, but I get errors when I try to extract them, saying that the file is corrupt. Not really key, since I don’t think I’ll be using those sounds, but someone else might want to and be having similar issues.
Hi all…so sorry for this extremely late response…my computer had a very bad week and i couldn’t figure out how to post to the index to save my life…but i fixed it… My index address is: http://www.rpi.edu/~farmem
See you guys tomorrow!
I just realized I didn’t actually put these up earlier, like I thought. I apologize for them being so late.
You can find my sounds at http://www.rpi.edu/~blancj/comp_music
I’ve put up three sounds with some of their source material as well, in case people want to try playing around with that. There’s the microwave ding, the zipper with some of the jacket rustling, and one of my obnoxious feedback files. I’d love to see somebody make that one work.
Hi everyone,
So we have the alen keys, the audio feedback, the bottle crunching/firing, and the “bong” noise made by a desk lamp not too far from me right now.
Enjoy.

Late, uf. Issues connecting with the VPN from home left me incapable of uploading earlier. Apologies for the lateness. The collection of noises is:
Straw “Fluate”
Wine Glass Sound (rubbing finger along rim)
Coin Flip (complete with messup and success versions)
You can find it at http://www.rpi.edu/~jaegec/comp_music/
Heres My link for 3 sounds you guys can use

I couldn’t decide on 3, so I put up all my favorites and you can decide:

http://www.rpi.edu/~paggip/compmusic/
There’s four on there (I forget which “Walking” sound I used, but, both are pretty good).
