if you have alot of sounds (30 or more) it can be difficult going through all of them looking for that one specific one in the protools menu. Especially if you didnt go through and name them all the exact sound that they are. If you hold down option, and hold down your click on the filename in the right file listing box, you can preview each track before you drag it in.
just a little thing, but i found it helpful. i also couldnt seem to move files easily in “beat” mode because it always wanted to snap itself to the beat grid. im sure that this is something you can turn off but i couldnt find it. i did alot of jumping between different modes in order to cut things up in one mode, and arrange in another.
